Pete Smith LPCC, NBCC
Who am I? Well really I am just a regular dude with a long and eventful life, and thankfully I feel like I’m really just getting going! I grew up in the Ohio Valley, spending my childhood in the Appalachian hills running, hunting, fishing, baling hay and helping the family with basic farm chores and timber production. As an adult, I decided to tackle the world, and big shock, my first round of college didn’t go as planned and I landed in the military. I served 20 years of active duty and completed a multitude of deployments, trainings, education opportunities and saw the world. While I was in the military, life didn’t stand still, I was married, had children, divorced, re-married, and had another child. My wife and I have successfully maintained our marriage for over 13 years, raised all 3 of my kids (thankfully, I had custody of my daughters from my first marriage!) to healthy and successful teenagers, with a strong family bond (this ol’ man is proud of his kiddos). While serving the country & raising a family I found a passion in the world of counseling and attained my BA in Psychology and my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also completed an AAS in Technical Management, and AAS in Education. After retirement I dove head long into the career of therapy and worked in a substance abuse residential facility in the Rocky Mountains of Utah. My family and I then decided a move closer to home was appropriate and we landed back in the Appalachian hills and I went to work as a therapist in Community Mental Health in order to “keep serving”. After starting my Private Practice my family and I made the tough decision to leave community health mostly because I believe true healing only happens when the body moves with the mind and that isn’t possible in such settings. When I’m not helping someone you can find me working on the farm we purchased, running my saw mill, spending time with my family, doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, any form of fitness activity or slaving over a grill or stove because I enjoy cooking too! I am a National Board Certified Counselor, and am an independently Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of KY and want nothing more than to find a way to help you if its a “good fit” between us!
It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it.

Brandi Morris CSW
Hi beautiful people. My name is Brandi Morris. I’m just your average individual with a down-to-earth demeanor, embracing the beauty of life’s everyday moments. I’m a mental health therapist based in Kentucky, where community runs deep. Growing up on Fort Campbell Military Base until the age of two and settling in Raceland, KY, I quickly learned the value of tight-knit support and neighborly care that shaped my early dreams.
Initially aiming for a nursing career, a family crisis redirected my path towards Social Work, driven by a newfound desire to uplift vulnerable individuals. Family is my anchor, providing the unwavering support that shapes how I approach my practice with warmth and dedication. I have a wonderful fiancé of 7 years and our adorable nieces and nephews. They bring immense joy, love, laughter and many adventures. Outside of family time, I find fulfillment in creative outlets like makeup artistry, which mirrors the journey of self-discovery, and let’s not forget my love for coffee – a staple that fuels my days and keeps me ready for whatever comes next. When I’m not in the office, you’ll likely find me outdoors soaking up nature’s beauty through hikes, playing outside with my nieces and nephews, beach trips, or a nice walk in the park.
My journey has led me through Brescia University where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. Early on, I immersed myself as a community support associate at a local mental health agency, dedicated to empowering families and individuals by bridging resources and support to prevent institutionalization. This role ignited my passion for making a tangible impact in people’s lives. Now, as a licensed Mental Health Therapist, I devote my days to providing outpatient and school-based therapy for individuals of all ages and their families. My approach blends expertise with empathy, aiming to empower clients as they navigate life’s challenges.
Trained in EMDR, I integrate this powerful modality to help client’s process trauma and build resilience. I also utilize play therapy techniques, CBT, DBT, and some art therapy techniques to support children in their emotional growth and healing journeys. My practice is guided by a commitment to compassion, growth, and the belief in every individual’s capacity for healing and transformation. I’m excited to embark on this journey with you, fostering self-discovery and empowerment every step of the way.
